Jennifer Skow is an Associate with LSA, providing leadership on affordable housing plans, development and research. Prior to joining LSA, Jennifer served as Project Manager at the Alexandria Housing Development Corporation (AHDC), an affordable housing developer in the City of Alexandria, VA. Jennifer has over six years of experience in affordable housing within the public and non-profit sectors, including real estate development and finance, planning, and policy. In her role at AHDC, she coordinated real estate development from conception, financing, entitlement, and permitting, to construction and initial lease-up.
Jennifer previously worked for the Government of the District of Columbia where she led the FY2016 – FY2020 update to the District’s Consolidated Plan, a document that guides over $280 million of federal entitlement monies and program income for community development and affordable housing. She was also primary author of a report published by the District’s Office of Planning on the use of historic tax credits and low-income housing tax credits.
Jennifer is certified in Housing Development Finance and Historic Real Estate Finance by the National Development Council. She graduated from Florida State University with a Master of Science in Planning in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Relations in 2008.
